A ROMAN MARBLE BUST OF SERAPIS
Circa late 1st - early 2nd Century A.D.
The draped bust surmounting an orb, the god with center-parted hair bound in a fillet, with the characteristic four vertical locks on the forehead, the wavy locks framing his face deeply drilled, with unarticulated eyes, parted lips and a full beard, the head once surmounted by a modius.
