The finest sword ever made in America during the Mexican War. This sword was on the Front cover of Flayderman’s ca. 1960 catalog where Jay Altmeyer bought it in the 60’s . This is a remarkable sword and metallurgical art form of gold, silver all modeled after and ancient Roman warriors sword, Persifor fought the Seminole Indians in Alabama and Florida swamplands, while he was stationed in New Orleans, this sword was given to him by the citizens of New Orleans for his heroic victory over the Mexican Army.
